Thanks very much for the valuable donation to the Comfort Homecare Pflegedienst Berlin, Sebastian Wolter and the nursing staff! In October we received a total of 60 liters of medical tube feeding, which we provided to ceveral ukrainian hospitals in cooperation with Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e. V.
In November we received another donation with 42 liters , and in December another 40 liters of tube feeding from Comfort Homecare Nursing Service. which we provided to the Ukrainian hospitals in December.
In August, an online+offline art project “Краєвиди рідного міста” (Landscapes of the Hometown) took place in Avdiyivka. Our artist and volunteer Alan Mayer was one of the mentors and joined the workshops and art sessions from Berlin.
And this is how it looked like in Avdiyivka these days: for video click HERE.
From January 29 to February 29, 2020 our exhibition ARTdespite took place again. This time it was held in premises and with the support of Saitenflügel-Konzertsaals im Künstlerhof.
At this exhibition, we proudly presented the results of almost five years of the MUSIC SAVES project – the works of our protégés – drawings, paintings, graphics and photography. At least for us, these works are not simply “children’s work”, but full-fledged works of art.
During the exhibition, several concerts and other events took place. Among other things, we wanted to give our visitors the opportunity to learn more about the details of MUSIC SAVES and to meet the activists behind the project.
We would like to thank all our artist for their wonderful concerts!
.
Another goal of the exhibition was to collect donations for our upcoming projects. Several pictures, graphics and photos were sold, the total proceeds will go in favor of the MUSIC SAVES project. Our donation box was filled with a total of 1123 €, further donations and proceeds from the sale of pictures reached our donation account after the exhibition.
And last but not least, the success of the exhibition meant great recognition for our protégés. This recognition contributes to their strengthening and self-esteem.
We would like to thank the Saitenflügel-Konzertsaal im Künstlerhof, Michiko Feuerlein and Yannick Wirner for the wonderful exhibition opportunity and a warm welcome!
Many thanks to all our visitors and all our supporters!
Many thanks to the Embassy of Ukraine in Federal Republic of Germany for supporting our projects!
In September 2019, our photographer Maria Fuchs traveled to Maryinka and Avdiivka, visited our protégés, conducted photo shoots and artistic workshops.
The results of the workshops were presented at the exhibition of the Diffusions Art Residence.

In March 2019, Marina traveled to the ukrainian front line for two weeks and worked with school classes in Avdiivka, Maryinka and Solote.
This time not alone, but together with the young activists from Maryinka. They developed an exciting program and organized workshops for music, theatre, community games and photo shoots.
She spent most of her time in Maryinka. There she worked together with the activists of the youth platform H.O.P.A., met again with our protégés and made new contacts. Among other things, she leaded a music workshop in Maryinka rehabilitation center and performed as a special guest at Christmas parties in local schools. The kids were very happy to see her.

We are deeply thankfull to everyone who support us!

“Our Rusya” – the young photographer and activist Ruslana Abrosimova (Руся Абросімова) from Maryinka, who attended our #MUSIK_RETTET summer camp in August 2018 – celebrated her birthday on 13 December. We prepared a special gift for her – a professional photography equipment to support her talent and could open up her future. A Nikon camera with lens, external flash, tripod, camera bag and a microphone for video recording.
Rusya was very happy about this gift – now she finally has got her own tools to pursue her passion. Many thanks to everybody who helped finance the camera.

On her program – workshops with school classes and kindergarten groups in Maryinka and neighboring Krasnohorivka (a total of 15 workshops) and a concert at the Krasnohorivka Music School. This time Marina did not work alone, our Rusya (#MUSIC_SAVES protègè) and Maxym (a young activist from Maryinka) accompanied her and helped with the work.
Of course, she also met with other #MUSIC_SAVES protégés.
Marina spent a lot of time in the newly founded youth platform “H. O. P. A.”, supported the young activists in their work – helped with childcare, bought art supplies.
Life in Maryinka is very dreary, even though there is hardly any shelling at the moment. The city has no street lights, public transport works only until 4 p.m., and after 5 p.m. you can’t either call a taxi. After dark (around 4:30 p.m. in November), life comes to a standstill, and those who do not have their own car have to stay at home. This makes the work of the youth platform and the support of the young people there all the more important, because they can change the life of the city.
