The idea was born in the summer of 2015 during our trip through the eastern Ukrainian war zone. Meanwhile, more and more musicians and artists have joined us and the idea has grown into a large project.
Under the slogan MUSIK RETTET (engl. “music saves”) we travel to the war torn cities on the Ukrainian front line and carry out cultural and rehabilitation projects. Since summer 2016 we organize MUSIK RETTET SUMMER CAMPS and bring war traumatized children and adolescents to Germany for two weeks for recovery and rehabilitation, where our kids take part in musical, artistic and therapeutic workshops, enjoy the tranquility and nature, experience the colorful city of Berlin and European traditions and culture.

So far 120 children and teenager had the opportunity to enjoy holidays from the war in our summer camps. Our project inspires the young people to own cultural and social projects in their homeland.

We also support the newly created cultural projects of our protégés in the front line cities by providing art materials and technical devices and sending our berlin-based artists and tutors to carry out workshops and seminars.

In order to support these projects financially, please include “MUSIK RETTET” as the purpose of payment when making the donation. You can also take over particular costs directly.
We also will be happy to accept donations such as musical instruments (including children’s instruments) and accessories. We pass these on to music schools, kindergartens, rehabilitation centers and to musically gifted children.
